Minerals

Minerals

Uses for common minerals

According to scienceviews.com, here are some uses for common minerals:

  • Copper: electric cable and wires, switches, industrial machinery and equipment, transportation; consumer and general products, coins, and jewelry.

  •  Limestone: aggregate, building stone, cement, and lime and in fluxes, glass, refractories, fillers, abrasives, soil conditioners, and a host of chemical processes.

  • Quartz: pressure gauges, oscillators, resonators, and wave stabilizers. Quartz is also used in the manufacture of glass, paints, abrasives, refractories, and precision instruments.
