Wind

Have you ever been outside and felt the wind blow around you? I have and I wondered what causes the wind to blow.

I found this information on weatherquestions.com:


What causes wind?

"Wind is caused by air flowing from high pressure to low pressure.  Since the Earth is rotating, however, the air does not flow directly from high to low pressure, but it is deflected to the right (in the Northern Hemisphere; to the left in the Southern Hemisphere), so that the wind flows mostly around the high and low pressure areas."


I had Kite Day at my school on 3/30/17. Here are some pictures:

When I started my flight, the kite was high in the sky.

 I found out that the higher the kite flew, the stronger the wind blew.

When I got to the end of my string, the wind got really strong. It stayed up because the wind has to push the clouds, right? So the wind up there is really, and I mean really, strong!
